Ramble Strip

There's no stripping. (Sorry.) But there's rambling, usually in the area of science, politics, pop culture, signs that are irritatingly misspelled, and religion, or anything that happens to be on my mind at the time. I post on study breaks, so that I don't go insane. Insaaaaaaaane!

This activist judge thing is REALLY out of control.

I'll admit I haven't followed the Terri Schiavo case closely until recently, but let me see if I have today's events right. One unelected judge is able to overrule a subpoena ordered by a body of federal representatives elected by the people, based on a comment that Terri Schiavo supposedly made to her husband, a comment expressing an opinion about which she felt so strongly that she ... never bothered to put it in writing? There is something very wrong with that. If only Terri was affiliated with a terrorist group, maybe some civil liberties advocates would come to her aid.

Andrew McCarthy at National Review Online has an excellent piece about this (via Michelle Malkin).
