Ramble Strip

There's no stripping. (Sorry.) But there's rambling, usually in the area of science, politics, pop culture, signs that are irritatingly misspelled, and religion, or anything that happens to be on my mind at the time. I post on study breaks, so that I don't go insane. Insaaaaaaaane!

Yeeeeoow, says the seven-year-old

I decided to try Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus, even though I've always had fairly white teeth anyway. I noticed that they were New! Nuevo! and I was reeled right in, see.

The reason I mention it is - they hurt SO MUCH. Every couple of minutes, I feel like some evil, invisible physician is trying to do a brain biopsy through the tooth socket of my right canine. Owwwww. I usually don't have problems with sensitive teeth - has anybody else used these wee little flexible torture devices? If so, did you have an unauthorized appointment with my evil, invisible physician? I can take pain, I just like to whine about it.

In related news, I finally talked myself into trying the ridiculously expensive Kerastase shampoo and conditioner. It's not New! Nuevo! but it keeps getting recommended in magazines and it's supposed to make your hair healthy and keep it from falling out so much. I'm constantly pulling out my hair (not on purpose, it just falls out when I brush it) and I don't like leaving gross little hair tumbleweeds behind me everywhere I go.

And finally, I got my hair cut last week and my hair stylist made the unfortunate mistake of cutting my bangs while they were wet, and now I look like I'm seven. Not a very good look for me.
