Ramble Strip

There's no stripping. (Sorry.) But there's rambling, usually in the area of science, politics, pop culture, signs that are irritatingly misspelled, and religion, or anything that happens to be on my mind at the time. I post on study breaks, so that I don't go insane. Insaaaaaaaane!

I think it's time to call it a night

So I'm studying for Friday's anatomy exam on the lower limb (which, incidentally, is so full of muscles and not much else that it makes me think that God ran out of vessels and nerves and stuff by the time He got to the lower limb, so He just threw in a bunch of muscles.) Anyway, my brain just shortened "femoral artery" to "fartery", which made me giggle for at least five minutes (since I'm 12) as did this sentence from Clinical Anatomy Made Ridiculously Simple:
The toes simply aren't used enough to warrant long, powerful extensors and flexors that originate from the femur. The fingers, though, require excellent extensor and flexor movements; these muscles originate as far away as the humerus.

Flexors and extensors that originate from the FEMUR. Haaaaaaaa.

Yes, it's definitely time to go to bed.

Scott stopped by on his way home because I used the Dial-a-Hug-and-a-Prayer hotline (okay, I called his lab today) and he gave me a hug and prayed with me and ate some of my food, and I feel much better than I did 24 hours ago. Goodnight, y'all.
